The Role

Chris O’Brien Lifehouse ICU is seeking Registrars with a career interest in Anaesthetics and Intensive Care to join our team. The roles available are on a roster pattern of 7 on/off in ICU. Anaesthetic rotations are completed at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.

The successful applicants will also benefit from the training opportunities across the campus for both Anaesthetics and Intensive Care and work directly with the Intensivists managing the ICU and leading the CERS team.

  • Full Time, 12-month position - Commencing 1/2/2027
  • CICM advanced training in intensive care (4 months affiliate accreditation)
  • Exposure to a varied surgical case mix, including complex head and neck
  • 12 weeks of supernumerary experience in anaesthetics

Essential Selection Criteria

  • AHPRA registration without limitations 
  • Minimum PGY4 as at beginning of 2027
  • Recent ICU experience
  • Enthusiasm to participate in the clinical and academic activities of the Department
  • Advanced life support trained
  • Evidence of immunisations to comply with the NSW Health Occupational Assessment, Screening & Vaccination against Specified Infectious Diseases Policy for a Category A position.
