The Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated nurse to join our Day Therapy team. As a chemotherapy nurse, you will be responsible for the administration of chemotherapy and supportive treatments, education of treatment side effects and effective strategies for the management of these side effects.
Working alongside a growing team of nurses in our Day Therapy unit, you’ll have opportunity to join a team that embraces “team nursing” and free flowing communication. You’ll also have opportunity to provide our patients with exceptionally high standards of care, while being part of the growth and development of the unit. You will be supported by a team of senior staff including nurse specialists and clinical nurse educator.

About You
You are a compassionate and capable nurse with experience in oncology or haematology or looking to move to the field of cancer from another speciality. You’re ready to collaborate with medical oncologists, educators, specialist nurses and your nurse unit manager to drive excellent patient outcomes and contribute to the growth of this important service.
Essential Requirements
• Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
• Legal right to work in Australia
• Minimum 2 years’ postgraduate experience in acute healthcare
• Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
• National Police Check (within the last 6 months or willingness to obtain)
• Compliance with Category A immunisation requirements
Desirable
• Relevant tertiary or equivalent Oncology or Haematology qualifications, or equivalent work practice is desirable
• Understanding of cytotoxic medication
• Understanding of WH&S requirements for handling cytotoxic material
• A flexible, motivated ‘can do’ attitude
• Experience in a digital health environment (EMR, eMeds)
• Interest in management career pathways
