The Opportunity
We are pleased to be able to offer an exciting opportunity for a specialist nurse interested in a secondment as a CNS 2 in metastatic breast 2 days a week. This role will provide the successful candidate with a supportive professional environment with 2 other breast specialist nurses and working in a team of 19 specialist nurses at COBLH.

About You
The Metastatic Breast CNS 2 applies advanced knowledge of the health needs, preferences and circumstances of women with metastatic breast cancer to optimise the individual’s health and well-being at various phases across the continuum of care, including diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, follow-up and palliative care.
You will provide advanced and complex care coordination to patients receiving palliative IV and oral chemotherapy, palliative radiotherapy, endocrine therapy and CD 4/6 inhibitors and all metastatic breast cancer patients as a member of the multidisciplinary team at Chris O’Brien Lifehouse.
You will provide an expert clinical consultancy service to patients and staff in the inpatient, outpatient and ambulatory care settings within Chris O’Brien Lifehouse
Essential Requirements
- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Minimum 5 years’ post graduate experience
- Post graduate qualification in oncology
- A minimum of 2 years working in breast cancer services (Medical Oncology)
- Ability to run nurse led clinics both independently and with oncologists
- A commitment to compassionate person centred care.
- Legal right to work in Australia
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- National Police Check (within the last 6 months or willingness to obtain)
- Compliance with Category A immunisation requirements
