About the Role

  • Responsible to work under the direct or general supervision as part of a team to provide a quality and reliable customer service to the clinics and operating theatres of Lifehouse.                                                                                                                                                             
  • Responsible for the collection, decontamination, thermal disinfection, inspection/assembly/packing, sterilisation and distribution of medical and surgical instrumentations and equipment.                                                                                                              
  • This position will be part of a collaborative team and provided training and education to ensure processing of reusable medical devices are conducted in accordance with AS 5369 and ISO, Infection Control Policy and Guidelines and Work Health and Safety legislation.

Essential Criteria: 

  • Certificate III in Sterilisation Services
  • Endoscopy Reprocessing Certified (GENCA)
  • Flexibility in work hours
  • Excellent communication, time management and customer service skills and proven ability to work effectively as a member 
  • Committed to creating a positive work culture and providing a 'can do' approach to tasks
  • Commitment to quality improvement and excellence in the delivery of healthcare
  • services
  • Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • National Police Check (within the last 6 months or willingness to obtain)
  • Compliance with Category A immunisation requirements
