The Opportunity

The CNE will be involved in supporting the Nurse Unit Manager in staff development and education, coordination of training and competency assessment.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced critical care nurse wanting a career in education and is interested in shaping the unit and its reputation. We are looking for an enthusiastic nurse that can fill the CNE role on full-time for maternity leave cover.

Essential Criteria

  • Current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Registration Association (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse Division 1.
  • Post Graduate Critical Care Qualification.
  • Minimum of five years recent ICU experience.
  • Clinical proficiency in haemodialysis, ventilation, invasive haemodynamic and neurological monitoring.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively individually and within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Understanding and experience in various teaching methodologies and highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Well-developed organisational and time management skills.

Desirable

  • Experience with CAP programs.
  • Certificate IV in Workplace Assessment and Training or intentions to enrol.
  • Experienced ALS instructor.
