Full-time Post Anaesthetic Recovery Unit (PARU) RN

Full-time Post Anaesthetic Recovery Unit (PARU) RN

If you are looking for an exciting opportunity and have experience working in a Post Anaesthesia Recovery Unit, we are keen to talk to you about joining our team at Chris O’Brien Lifehouse. 

Our Recovery unit supports 10 operating theatres, an Interventional Suite and a procedure room that performs a wide variety of simple and complex surgical procedures across a variety of specialties.  The Recovery Nurse is essential to the provision of highly skilled care for our patients in the initial post operative phase.  The successful candidate will be team focused, demonstrates a patient centred care approach, have highly developed clinical skills and be an effective communicator.

Essential Criteria 

  • Current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Registration Association (AHPRA)
  • Minimum 2 years full time equivalent post registration experience 
  • Demonstrated professional knowledge and expertise in a Post Anaesthetics Recovery Unit or other critical care environment.
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication with an ability to communicate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Demonstrated organisational skills allowing you to prioritise and manage clinical care efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to provide excellence clinical care with a patient centred care approach
