The Role 

Responsible for the collection and recording of clinical and pathological data concerning patients treated in the Department of Gynaecological Oncology. Also responsible for assisting in the running of the weekly MDT meetings and sending out MDT reports to stated recipient.

This is a part-time 2 day a week maternity leave cover role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurate collection of clinic pathological data, and recording and entering of data onto the database 
  • Active involvement in weekly gynecological oncology MDT to ensure cancer staging is recorded in the database and MDT notes for each patient. 
  • Production of reports for audit
  • Liaise and collaborate with clinical staff, and other data managers, and assist with clinical research, and the Business Intelligence team.  
  • Liaise with Clinical Informatics and Technology Service on integration with the Lifehouse Oncology Information System (LOIS) where required. 

To be successful in this role you will need  

  • Relevant experience as a clinical database manager and/or MDT co-ordination
  • Proven ability in carrying out highly accurate data collection. 
  • Good communications skills and ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team. 
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and acquiring increased skills and expertise in medical database management and statistics. 
  • Knowledge of basic anatomy. 
  • Compliance with Category B immunisation requirements (COVID 2 doses + 2025 Flu Vax)
