 About the role:

 An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and enthusiastic interventional radiographer with CT experience to complement and enhance an established interventional oncology service within the Siemens Nexaris Angio/CT suite at Chris O’Brien Lifehouse.

The interventional oncology team provides a specialised service within the operating theatre at Lifehouse that uses minimally invasive image guided techniques to diagnose and treat oncology patients. Services include line insertions, CT and ultrasound guided biopsies, TACE, tumour embolisation and ablation. 

The role of the radiographer within Lifehouse will also include providing occasional mobile C-arm fluoroscopy and 3D image guidance within the neurosurgical theatre. 

Lifehouse interventional oncology is a hospital based service with outpatient clinics and procedural lists. We operate Monday to Friday with no current on call service and no weekend work requirements.

Our ideal applicant will demonstrate initiative and share a team-based philosophy; show multitasking capability and be capable of genuine patient empathy. We will value your demonstrated clinical excellence and good communication skills. As an interventional radiographer you will have the opportunity to be involved in IR cases, utilising angiography, CT and Ultrasound‐guided modalities. 

Criteria:

• Commitment to the provision and promotion of quality healthcare in the private medical imaging setting
• Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients and associated staff and referrers
• Self-motivated and committed to ongoing professional development
• Strong work ethic
• Strong time-management skills, with the ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
• Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to change and streamline processes
• Minimum 2 years working as an accredited radiographer 
• CT experiences essential

Essential: 

• Current AHPRA registration 
• NSW EPA Radiation License 
• Evidence of immunisations to comply with the NSW Health Occupational Assessment, Screening & Vaccination against Specified Infectious Diseases Policy for a Category A position
