About the role
We are seeking suitably experienced Medical Administration professionals to join our dynamic team on a permanent full-time basis.
The successful applicant will have superior interpersonal skills with a strong focus on customer service, demonstrated abilities to multitask and work in a very fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
- Acting as the first point of contact for patients making appointments
- Collecting patient information, maintaining patient privacy and accurate data entry
- Typing specialist letters
- General administration including document management
- Liaising with Specialists, Registrars, Nurses, and peers, within multiple departments within the hospital
- Completing tasks as allocated by Senior Patient Navigator and Team Leader
Criteria
- Minimum of two years demonstrated experience in a similar role
- Exceptional phone manner, excellent time management skills and the ability to multi task
- Ability to work autonomously and complete work within tight timeframes.
- Superior customer service and exceptional communication skills with the ability to work as an effective team member with flexibility to respond to fluctuating work flows
- Positive, enthusiastic and a genuine love of working in a fast paced environment whilst maintaining a high level of quality, compassion and professionalism
- Demonstrated understanding of medical terminology and familiarity with medical software applications, electronic medical records
- Proficient computer skills including, Outlook, Word and Excel
- An understanding of Medicare and DVA
- Compliance with Category A immunisation requirements
