About the role:
As an experienced Nurse Unit Manager for our general ICU you will work closely with the Critical Care and Inpatient Services Manager and be responsible for the day to day running of the ICU. You will be integral to the ongoing development of the unit and support for advanced clinical care across the hospital. Your clinical leadership skills will ensure the team provides a consistently high standard of patient care. Your management skills will provide a work environment which supports growth and development of your staff. You will be responsible for the effective and efficient management of all resources in the ICU.
Essential Skills Requirement and Qualifications
- Current (AHPRA) Registration.
- Post Graduate Critical Care qualification.
- Minimum 5 years post graduate ICU nursing experience and relevant clinical management experience and/or post-graduate in health management.
- Experience in both public and private health settings is preferred.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Commitment to achieving excellence in quality through continuous improvement.
- Committed to continuing education and professional development.
- Intermediate MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel and Teams) and understanding/experience in use of rostering/incident systems (Kronos, Riskman or similar)
- Proven ability to create and maintain positive workplace culture and articulate and achieve a vision for nursing services.
