About the role:

We are looking for skilled nurses to join our busy Medical & Surgical Ward, you will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in surgical nursing and have worked in the areas of gynaecology and breast surgeries, and Radiation Oncology. For candidates with appropriate qualifications or experience CNS level is available. 

Essential Criteria:

  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse Division 1 
  • Minimum 2 years recent experience in breast, gynaecology or surgical nursing 
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Well-developed organizational and time management skills 
  • Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills and the ability to identify key messages, issues and concerns when communicating with others
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of risk management, safety and quality improvement principles and the role of the registered nurse/enrolled nurse in applying these principles
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional development
  • Basic computer skills and proven ability to use health information systems (Meditech or similar) 
  • Immunisations that comply with the requirements of a NSW Health Category A worker
