The Opportunity 

  • Director of first impressions for the medical oncology / palliative care ward
  • Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication skills essential
  • Responsible for all administrative tasks for the medical oncology/palliative care ward
  • High level customer service skills as you manage incoming calls to the ward
  • Accurate data entry of patient admission and discharge to the Patient Administration System
  • Confidential management of patient files on the ward
  • Teamplayer - work with stakeholders from across the organisation

Essential Requirements

  • Certificate III in Health Administration or equivalent and/or
  • Minimum 2-3 years medical administration with high-level customer service experience
  • Intermediate MS Office skills (Outlook, Excel), with accurate data entry
  • Knowledge of and/or experience in cancer services (desirable)
  • Compliance with Category A immunisation requirements
  • Valid police check <6 months old or willingness to obtain
  • Current Working with children check
  • Valid Australian working rights - no sponsorship is offered for this position
