About the role:
As a Urological Fellow, you will be involved in, and responsible for, supervising in-patient and outpatient management and care of patients attending the Urological Oncology department at Chris O'Brien Lifehouse.
You will be responsible for:
- Day-to-day medical and surgical care of patients of the Urological Oncology department of Lifehouse including in and outpatients
- Assisting with the development and facilitation of rapid access assessment and diagnostic services
- Taking part in or initiating research and/or quality assurance projects within the department and Hospital
- Providing teaching to medical students, nurses, residents and registrars as required
- Attending and presenting material at hospital and scientific meetings
Essential Criteria:
- It is essential to be a Medical Practitioner and be registered, or eligible for registration, with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA).
- Ability to accept responsibility and carry out specific tasks with minimal supervision but possess professional judgment to determine the need to seek advice from senior medical staff
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Be available for on-call roster if requested
- Evidence of immunisations to comply with the NSW Health Occupational Assessment, Screening & Vaccination against Specified Infectious Diseases Policy for a Category A position
