About the role:
The Admissions Booking Officer is a dynamic and important position within the Peri-operative department. The role is to ensure surgical and medical bookings are entered into the patient administrative system in a timely, efficient and accurate manner. The Admissions Booking Officer works alongside other bookings officers and adheres to the daily tasks coordinated by the Senior Admissions officer.
Qualifications and experience:
- 1 year Medical Admin experience OR transferrable admin experience
- Conflict resolution, analytical and negotiation skills.
- Interest in improvement of process efficiencies and solving problems.
- Ability to work Monday to Friday, 08:30am – 5:00pm
- Intermediate - Advanced MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word Teams)
- Accurate data entry skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced work environment
- Strong customer service skills and collaborative team player
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Experience with medical patient administrative software i.e. Meditech, PAS or similar (desirable)
