The Opportunity

Your opportunity as the new Clinical Receptionist will be to effectively manage the front line services to all patients, family and visitors within Lifehouse. In particular, this position is required to triage enquiries and the needs of patients/visitors and ensure the smooth operation through the Lifehouse main reception and entry way.

The Clinical Receptionist role is a key part of our professional and dedicated reception team where no task is seen as being too great or too small. 

Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Report and action patient customer service
  • Protect the confidentiality of patient clinical records without compromising appropriate clinical workforce access to patient clinical information
  • Utilise effective questioning skills and a consultative approach to accurately interpret the needs of customer’s (internal and external to the organisation) and demonstrates effective problem solving skills to provide a flexible service that meets these needs
  • Determine patient requirements and deliver services at a high standard in a responsive and timely manner
  • Become a part of, and promote a team environment by showing respect, and acknowledging and validating other team members

 

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Passion for Customer Service with an understanding of the "art" of service and pride yourself on delivering memorable experiences
  • Demonstrated reception skills and ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent personal presentation and attention to detail
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Enjoy the ability to take initiative, work independently and/or proactively as part of a close knit team
  • Excellent organisational skills, including demonstrated time management skills, initiative and ability to make decisions

Essential Requirements

  • Legal right to work in Australia (sponsorship is not offered for this position)
  • Tertiary qualifications in medical administration or equivalent; or
  • Min 2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Computer literacy and good eye for detail
  • High level of customer service and resilience in a busy patient facing environment
  • Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • National Police Check (within the last 6 months or willingness to obtain)
  • Compliance with Category A immunisation requirements
