Our model of care is multidisciplinary, patient-centred, and research-based, delivered through integrated and co-located services — including Australia’s largest You Can Centre for young people.
The Dietetics Department is seeking a highly motivated New Graduate Dietitian who aligns with our Founder’s vision of creating a collaborative environment where respect, discovery, empowerment, and nurture thrive — all in the interests of our patients.
With work life balance in mind, the successful applicant will have the choice to work a 9-day fortnight or 5 days a week reduced hours (68.4 hours a fortnight)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nutritional management for oncology inpatients and outpatients, including comprehensive nutrition assessment, planning and implementing appropriate interventions, and delivering education and counselling to patients and carers.
- Participate in multidisciplinary, allied health, and dietetic team meetings.
- Participate in supervision, mentoring, teaching, education, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with the food service provider to support the provision of safe, high-quality meals.
Selection Criteria
- Australian Resident or Citizen with full working rights.
- Recognised qualification in Nutrition & Dietetics; graduated within the last 12 months.
- Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) status with Dietitians Australia.
- Completion of at least 5 weeks of dietetic clinical placement in an acute hospital setting.
- Recent completion of professional learning and development activities related to oncology nutrition.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to self-reflect, set development goals, and work toward their attainment.
- Adaptability, resilience, and the ability to manage competing demands effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to practice safely as a clinician and work well within a team.
- Evidence of immunisations to comply with the NSW Health Occupational Assessment, Screening & Vaccination against Specified Infectious Diseases Policy for a Category A position
