Chris O’Brien Lifehouse is an independent not for profit private hospital situated in central Sydney, one of Australia’s 2 dedicated comprehensive cancer centres. The primary purpose of our organization to improving the lives of people affected by cancer.

Our nurses pride themselves on being compassionate, professional & accountable for their practice and work in collaboration with a highly skilled multidisciplinary team.

 

About the Role

This leadership position is responsible for the daily operational management of 24 bed ward and an established nursing team. The unit undertakes in patient chemotherapy, acute symptom management and palliative care. The unit is supported by a clinical nurse educator, specialist nurses and palliative care team

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Working rights in Australia & Current APHRA registration.
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in oncology field.
  • Relevant post graduate qualification.
  • Prior management & leadership experience (private sector preferred).
  • Leadership & Management qualifications (or plans to complete).
  • Excellent communication skills and proven record of leadership of teams.
  • Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • National Police Check (within the last 6 months or willingness to obtain)
  • Compliance with Category A immunisation requirements
