Chris O’Brien Lifehouse is one of Australia’s leading comprehensive cancer centres with 149 beds including 12 theatres, 22 ICU level beds, day therapy and radiotherapy services in an environment of advanced technology to support healthcare provision.
About the role:
This unit is part of our extended critical care services and includes a 4 -bed high dependency area. Our thoracic surgical services are the lead speciality for the unit of 24 beds. We support nursing staffing levels to ensure delivery of high-quality person-centred care.
You will have experience working in the area of thoracic surgery or high dependency and are keen to collaborate with our team of surgeons, specialty nurses, educators and your manager to further develop this service to ensure delivery of positive outcomes.
Essential Qualifications:
- Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Right to work in Australia.
- 3 years minimum postgraduate /registration experience in acute healthcare.
- Min 2 years' experience in thoracic /high dependency nursing.
COBL employment requirements:
- Current working with children check (WWCC).
- Police Check not more than 6 months old or willingness to obtain.
- Compliance with Category A health worker immunisation.
Desirable Criteria:
- Post graduate qualification in acute care nursing.
- Experience in working in a digital health setting (EMR, e-Meds).
