With 149 inpatient beds, 12 operating theatres, 22 ICU-level beds, day therapy and radiotherapy services, we offer advanced technologies in a purpose-built facility designed to support patients and staff alike.
The Role
The Research Operations Lead will work closely with the Director of Research to develop, plan, and manage research programs across COBL. The Research Operations Lead will engage with a multidisciplinary team of researchers, including the COBL Research Faculty, to ensure strategic goals are met and research excellence is supported across all domains.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and facilitate opportunities for investigator-initiated research, including supporting new projects through protocol development, ethics approvals, and regulatory compliance.
- Design and implement operational programs, including the development and structure of key programs and innovation hubs.
- Develop and maintain engaging, accurate research activity content on our website.
- Act as secretariat for key research review and approval committees
- Support the negotiation and management of collaborative agreements with external research institutions, industry partners, and funding bodies.
To be successful in this role you will need
- Advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., biomedical sciences, public health, research management).
- Demonstrated experience in research operations and program management.
- Strong understanding of research governance, ethics, and compliance frameworks.
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Compliance with Category B immunisation requirements
