About the role:
We are seeking skilled and compassionate nurses to join our dynamic Medical Oncology & Palliative Care Ward. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of two years’ experience in an acute healthcare setting and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
As part of our dedicated team, you will provide high-quality nursing care and support to patients with complex medical oncology and palliative care needs. We pride ourselves on fostering a stimulating and supportive work environment where every team member is valued and empowered.
We strongly encourage ongoing learning and professional development, offering support through our Clinical Nurse Educator, experienced nursing team, and Nurse Unit Manager. Join us and contribute to a multidisciplinary team dedicated to excellence in patient care.
Essential Criteria:
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse Division 1
- Minimum 2 years recent experience
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Well-developed organizational and time management skills
- Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills and the ability to identify key messages, issues and concerns when communicating with others
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of risk management, safety and quality improvement principles and the role of the registered nurse/enrolled nurse in applying these principles
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development
- Basic computer skills and proven ability to use health information systems (Meditech or similar)
- Immunisations that comply with the requirements of a NSW Health Category A worker
