The Role
Chris O`Brien Lifehouse is seeking a motivated Technical Business Analyst to join our Clinical Applications team. This role requires technical expertise and will bridge the gap between clinical staff, management, and IT teams, ensuring that hospital systems and medical technologies are implemented, configured, and supported effectively to meet user and healthcare requirements.
You will be responsible for:
- Installation, configuration, and support for various healthcare applications such as PACS, Medical Devices, Nurse Call System, MEDITECH, Scanning & Archival solution, Ascom Android devices, 3M Code finder, Chefmax, HL7 systems among others.
- Business analysis-gather, analyse, and document business requirements from clinical and operational stakeholders.
- Translation of business needs into technical specifications for IT teams.
- Hands on technical works as well and project works and business responsibilities
- Assisting in user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure system functionality aligns with requirements.
- Providing ongoing support and recommendations for process improvements.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst, that is someone with hands-on technical abilities to manage, diagnose software systems for clinical uses and devices in healthcare or hospital IT systems.
- Strong understanding of clinical workflows and hospital operations.
- Experience with EHR/EMR systems, patient management systems, or related healthcare software.
- Excellent communication, analytical, written and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively or independently with clinicians, management, and IT teams.
- Five years healthcare experience at a minimum is essential and less will not be considered.
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Knowledge of project management methodology
- Biomedical engineering
- Abilities to troubleshoot and work through complex software and systems
- Basic SQL and HL7 knowledge
